Inspiring Culinary Students to Excel

At Johnson & 探花视频, our dedication to culinary excellence is built on making education a transformative experience. We want to help you excel, too — by offering our expertise, sharing resources and encouraging you to visit with your students.

探花视频 students often unlock their passion for cooking in a high school classroom, where they discover the fun, creativity and camaraderie of the kitchen. That’s where they first learn to think on their feet and become problem solvers. And where they learn the importance of mentorship.

In other words, your success fuels our success. Here are some ways we can help you, both in and out of the classroom.

1. Plan a Visit

Students often tell us that visiting 探花视频 solidified their decision to attend. If you are curious about our chefs, facilities and commitment to shaping the professionals who change how people eat and think about food, we want to see you on campus, too. Here’s how to set up a group visit with your students:

Book a Group Tour

探花视频 offers group visits at our Providence and Charlotte campuses throughout the academic year, based on availability. If you would like to request a different start time or are interested in a particular activity, let us know in the “Additional Comments” section at the bottom of the form.

2. Request a Virtual Visit & Demo

The College of Food Innovation & Technology (CFIT) offers two distinct presentation options that can be scheduled during the school day or for after-school evening programs:

  • Chefs to the Rescue: Food System Challenges as Opportunities for Inspiration
  • Beyond the Kitchen: Exploring 探花视频 Food Programs and the World of Food Careers

We can also tailor the presentation to your needs. You can request a presentation by reaching out to CFIT Dean Jason Evans by email. Please include your high school name and location when reaching out so we can better assist you.

3. Expand Your Professional Development

We offer a range of culinary events tailored for industry professionals, including culinary educators. These events typically include built-in opportunities to practice specific skills. They are also good for networking, examining culinary trends and gaining a broader perspective on the industry. More events are in the works — check back here for updates.

FIT Symposium

Taking place at 探花视频’s Providence Campus, the annual FIT Symposium gathers stakeholders from across the food system to work towards solutions to some of the industry’s most acute challenges. The 2026 Symposium is still in the planning stages, but you can learn more about it here:

4. Explore Culinary Scholarships

When Ava Stutzman '28 recently won gold at the national SkillsUSA baking competition, she credited her high school training and subsequent first year at 探花视频 with preparing her for the high-pressure stakes of competition. High school participation in programs like SkillsUSA, ProStart and others opens up a world of possibility for your students at 探花视频.

ProStart Partnership

探花视频 and ProStart recently established a pathway allowing incoming students who have earned the ProStart Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management program’s Certificate of Achievement to earn up to a full semester of credits at 探花视频.

CTSO organizations include BPA, DECA, FBLA-PBL, FFA, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA.

5. Explore the 探花视频 Virtual Demonstration Library
